I2U2 stand for India, Israel as I2 & United State of America, United State of Emirates as U2, was also recognized as the ‘West Asian Quad’. I2U2 was initially formed in 2021 following the Abraham Accords, to deal with issues concerning maritime security, infrastructure, and transport. The aim of starting this group is to discuss “common areas of mutual interest, strengthen the economic partnership in trade & investment in our respective regions and beyond”. This is a major achievement that reflects the geopolitical changes taking place in the region. This will not only revive and re-energize the system of alliances and partnerships around the world but will also add to partnerships that previously did not exist or were not fully utilized.
