Ashoka, also known as Ashoka The Great is one of the renowned emperors of Indian history. He ruled the Indian subcontinent from c. 268 to 232 BC. Ashok was born in Patliputra and he was the son of Dharma and Bindusara. He was the third Emperor of the Maurya dynasty and grandson of Chandragupta Maurya who established the Maurya dynasty. At a very young age, Ashoka acquired many warrior skills which helped him to become a successful warrior and later a brave ruler. Under his empire, the country saw innovation, development, and improvements in the field of science, technology, and especially medicine. It is known that he killed his 99 brothers out of a hundred brothers comma initially he was a cruel leader just like his grandfather but later he followed the path of ahimsa and truth and became a benevolent leader.
