The birth order is the order in which a child is born. Mostly the first-born child is the oldest, the second or last-born child is the youngest child, and the middle child is the one born between the youngest and oldest child. Some orders are also sole children where that child is the only child of that family. Birth order can be used to understand the personality traits of your children. There has been much psychological research into how birth order affects personal adjustment and family status, but the notion that it has strong and consistent effects on psychological outcomes is not supported. Birth order does not appear to influence personality in adults, according to several ambitious studies published in the past few years.
