Although both sperm and OVA are very dissimilar morphologically yet both comprise similar phases of sequentially changes. Gametogenesis is two types first one is spermatogenesis and the second one is oogenesis. Spermatogenesis is the process of formation of functional sperm/ spermatozoa from diploid spermatogonia.
